Getting in the mood with these cute tree-shaped ornaments! Aww.... I really love these beauties by Alina Hayes!

Lovely bouquets!

Some of my favourite wedding bouquets from Vintage Design Co.

How to become a famous blogger...

Great one from weblogcartoons.

I love birds, but I just can't stand seeing them in cages.
Today I found a great answer to this problem! Nestlin is a multifunctional wine packaging made from wood designed by Igor Solovyov: after using it to carry wine, it can be used as a bird nesting box, being therefore sustainable and earth friendly. There is also a little hole for you to insert a stick to create a perch for the birds. Cute!!

Blowing Whale!

This chalkboard from Suddenly, it's Real is really cute for children... you can even fit a piece of chalk in it's blow hole!!!! Too bad it's already sold out at etsy... but I believe there will be more coming out, huh?

Ah, and I just found this cute pig chalkboard at their site!!

Ah, this one is really interesting! Wordle is a site where you can enter some text or an RSS feed link and it creates a word cloud of the main words used on the material. Check out my word clouds for YelloHippo!!

Mirror, mirror on my bag...

It's always nice to carry around a mirror on your purse, so I would definetly reccomend these adorable ones from Mary Kilvert's shop at Etsy.

Ain't these the loveliest jugs you've ever seen? And what about this bowl? From Ninainvorm's shop based in the Netherlands @ Etsy.

Swedish Floating Gardens

Sooooo romantic! Beautiful floating gardens in a contest in Sweden which happens every August.
Photos from Apartment Therapy.

I'm such a big fan of Alicia Bock's work! I have posted something on her work previously here, remember?

She has just lauched her new photography collection... really worth taking a look at her dreamy, beautiful vintage-looking polaroids, blooming trees and spring themes!

Feeling inspired today? Beautiful pics by Philip Newton.

When winter is over, I'll be dying to find these (or any other national brand with the same flavours, btw!) on the stores... I've already tasted Port Wine and Champagne sorbet, but not from their brand, Wine Cellar... scoops ready, everyone?

Birds on Sale!

My lovely birds are now on sale at Elo7, a Brazilian site just like Etsy for handmade products.

Chinese Preserved Sweets!

Have you ever tried one of these very peculiar tasting Chinese sweets?
The first one is made from preserved plums and the second is from olives... interesting tastes!
You can find them right here, at Tang 1968. Yummy!

I'm like a bird!

I am so into the Threadless Project, a site where graphic designers can post illustrations that get voted to become tees! Browsing through the site I found these gorgeous design pieces from Lim Swee. Enjoy!

Jane Austen

Anyone in the mood for Pride and Prejudice?
Lovely Mr. Darcy card to send any of your engaged friends.... from Pearl Marmelade available at Etsy.

Bags and towels!

Keep Calm Gallery just launched new tea towel prints and this one is by far the most hilarious one...
Their sister site, Alphabet Bags has this interesting recession-proof bag.

Blue Hippo Patch

Sooooooooo cute! Blue Hippo handmade patches from Germany @ Lydismodesign shop in Dawanda.
I also fancied these dog ones specially for children's clothing.

L'Occitane Dream Trip Tip

Gosh, I recently found out that L'Occitane has an open tour at their factory for tourists! Ain't that just amazing?
Spending an afternoon checking out how their products are made in the heart of Provence... dreamy!

Peruvian is the new Japanese...

I've finally been to La Mar! What a lovely (and tasty!) experience... All I have to say is that Peruvian food never tasted so Peruvian, yet with a local seasoning. Ceviche correctly served with just the right amount of lemon, onions and rocoto. No so spicy as the real thing in Peru, but seasoned so well that the taste was perfect. Lovely clams, squids, scallops, octopuses and tuna...

Sofisticated yet clean architecture gets mixed with Peruvian music. Well trained waiters are able to explain each dish without hurry, turning each description into a little journey to Lima. Highly recommended and well worth another visit some time soon!!

If you're feeling like a Princess, this lovely bracelet from Sublime Design will do you just fine...
Soooo sweet! Available here @ Etsy.

Peruvian food goes mainstream

São Paulo, Brazil, is becoming every day a little bit more Peruvian. Since Shimo opened its doors bringing us our first nipo-peruvian restaurant experiences, tastes such as ceviche, pisco and causas became every day closer.
I wouldn't think it is too much saying Peruvian is the new Japanese.

Food is just like fashion today, and no better restaurant to show this than La Mar, covered with wood from flooring to its walls and with very charming blue chairs... I'm just dying to go there!

Play Rethink

I've been to a workshop in São Paulo on this new game called Play Rethink, developed by Lilli Larratea, focused on creating new sustainable design solution for common objects and processes.

New ideas created can be posted on their site, creating an incredible amount of solutions from all over the globe! Nice product to buy for your kids, btw. Players doodle their ideas on sheets such as this one:
