Nestlin!

I love birds, but I just can't stand seeing them in cages.
Today I found a great answer to this problem! Nestlin is a multifunctional wine packaging made from wood designed by Igor Solovyov: after using it to carry wine, it can be used as a bird nesting box, being therefore sustainable and earth friendly. There is also a little hole for you to insert a stick to create a perch for the birds. Cute!!

Peruvian is the new Japanese...

I've finally been to La Mar! What a lovely (and tasty!) experience... All I have to say is that Peruvian food never tasted so Peruvian, yet with a local seasoning. Ceviche correctly served with just the right amount of lemon, onions and rocoto. No so spicy as the real thing in Peru, but seasoned so well that the taste was perfect. Lovely clams, squids, scallops, octopuses and tuna...

Sofisticated yet clean architecture gets mixed with Peruvian music. Well trained waiters are able to explain each dish without hurry, turning each description into a little journey to Lima. Highly recommended and well worth another visit some time soon!!

Peruvian food goes mainstream

São Paulo, Brazil, is becoming every day a little bit more Peruvian. Since Shimo opened its doors bringing us our first nipo-peruvian restaurant experiences, tastes such as ceviche, pisco and causas became every day closer.
I wouldn't think it is too much saying Peruvian is the new Japanese.

Food is just like fashion today, and no better restaurant to show this than La Mar, covered with wood from flooring to its walls and with very charming blue chairs... I'm just dying to go there!

Play Rethink

I've been to a workshop in São Paulo on this new game called Play Rethink, developed by Lilli Larratea, focused on creating new sustainable design solution for common objects and processes.

New ideas created can be posted on their site, creating an incredible amount of solutions from all over the globe! Nice product to buy for your kids, btw. Players doodle their ideas on sheets such as this one:
